WELCOME TO THE SATURDAY MORNING ORCHESTRA
SMO Conductor Vacancy

We are saddened to announce the retirement of Jerry Lanning, our esteemed conductor of many years. Throughout his tenure, Jerry has guided and inspired the orchestra with passion, leadership and exceptional dedication, leaving an indelible mark on SMO. While we will deeply miss his presence, we are also excited to begin the search for a new conductor to continue the legacy of musical growth. If you or someone you know has the experience, vision, and enthusiasm to pick up the SMO baton for this new chapter in our journey, please see details on the application page.

Workshop Day Feb 2025

Our workshop day this year was a great success. Terrific to see so many strings raising the roof in Beethovens Eroica symphony!
We were also treated to a beautiful rendition of the Bruch violin concerto by Savannah Brown. A real priviledge to play with such a talented musician.
